Statement of Taunton Police Chief Edward Walsh

TAUNTON — The Taunton Police Department reports with heartfelt sadness and sorrow that Bryce Derosier, the son of a Taunton Police officer, has passed away at home surrounded by friends and family.

Bryce, son of Officer Jeremy Derosier, his wife Jamie, and brother of Aubriella, has succumbed to his battle with Mitochondrial Disease. He was 15-months-old. Bryce spent the last few months at Children’s Hospital in Boston and was recently brought home to be with his family. He brought love and joy to the many lives that he touched.

Chief Edward Walsh and the members of the Taunton Police Department would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family. We ask the community to please keep Bryce and the Derosier family in their thoughts and prayers while they deal with this difficult loss.
